Job summary

University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant to support clinical research protocols under the direction of the Principal Investigator. The role involves developing protocol-specific tools, collecting and managing data and samples, scheduling patient tests, and conducting telephone follow-up.

Responsibilities also include maintaining study operations, reviewing medical records for accuracy, and ensuring confidentiality of patient information and study

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience using computer-based tools (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist PI in development of protocol-specific tools for study documentation.
• Collect, evaluate, update, and transport data and samples related to protocols.
• Schedule patient tests and interviews; conduct telephone follow-up.
• Maintain operations including stocking, inventory, storage, and ordering supplies.
• Review medical records for consistency and completeness; ensure confidentiality.
