Brown University Health is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant at The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI to assist in acquiring and analyzing patient information for multiple clinical projects, interview patients, prepare and maintain study records, and enter data into our databases.

You will perform statistical analyses, review literature, participate in protocol development, and may assist with EKGs, vital signs, and handling blood samples as required by protocol.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree in Applied or Life Sciences or related area with research exposure.
• 3–6 months on-the-job experience with research studies.
• Knowledge of research methodologies and microcomputer systems.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
• Ability to perform statistical analyses and data entry.
• Familiarity with coordinating study activities and maintaining records.

Aufgaben

• Assist in coordinating clinical research activities for multiple studies.
• Interview patients and families to gather information and obtain consent.
• Maintain and update study records; schedule appointments and follow up on data.
• Abstract medical records and request missing data (lab results, etc.).
• Enter data into databases and perform computer-assisted analyses.
• May perform EKGs, monitor vital signs, and handle blood/tissue samples per protocol.
