Under limited supervision, responsible for the operation of a specialized educational/social science research area with one or more faculty members or managers within a recognized unit. Assists with research project tasks to include recruitment, data collection, and the day to day operations of research projects. May act as liaison with other departments, divisions and organizations.

Under limited supervision, responsible for the operation of a specialized educational/social science research area with one or more faculty members or managers within a recognized unit. Assists with research project tasks to include recruitment, data collection, and the day to day operations of research projects. May act as liaison with other departments, divisions and organizations.
Responsibilities
Plans, organizes and conducts one or more small or moderately complex research projects according to plan; reviews progress and evaluates results.
Participates in ongoing decisions regarding study design, data collection, and methodology.
Serves as research study subject recruiter, interviewer, screener and evaluator of candidates for studies.
Formulates research methods and suggests options for improving quality, identifies potential problems, and recommends and implements solutions.
Consults with users to refine or adapt methodologies to fit research requirements; collaborates in development of new techniques and instruments.
Prepares reports in response to inquiries from performance sites or regulatory organizations under supervision of the investigator.
Maintains project documentation for study sites including contact lists, correspondence, reporting documentation, and compliance data according to standardized procedures.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner.
Demonstrated ability to monitor important and complex projects concurrently.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes/other email software.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, to include writing and preparing memorandums, letters, and other official correspondence.
Experience
Two (2) years of related experience is required.

Retirement - Employees are eligible for either the Teacher Retirement System (TRS) or the Optional Retirement Plan (ORP). TRS is a defined benefit retirement plan which UT Health matches employee contributions. ORP is for eligible faculty staff employees. Voluntary retirement programs are also available to invest before- or after-tax dollars with the choice of five quality retirement plan providers.
