Job summary

SQRL is seeking a Remote Project Analyst (AR Specialist) to support the Revenue Cycle team across a multi-site clinical research organization. You will manage billing and revenue activity for assigned studies and act as the financial contact with Operations, Budgets, Contracts, Accounting, Cash Applications, and Collections.

The ideal candidate has clinical research billing, AR, or revenue cycle experience, 1–2+ years in finance, and solid Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Clinical research billing, accounts receivable, revenue cycle, or sponsor/CRO invoicing experience required.
• 1–2+ years of professional experience in finance, revenue cycle, billing, AR, accounting, or a related role.
• Moderate Excel skills including formulas and pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary financial contact for assigned clinical research studies, collaborating with operations and finance teams.
• Review contracts, work orders, and amendments to understand billing terms, invoicing requirements, and financial obligations.
• Reconcile study visit activity in the CTMS against Sponsor/CRO EDC systems.
• Ensure billable items, including non-visit revenue, are properly tracked and invoiced.
• Prepare monthly revenue and billing files, assist with sponsor/CRO statements, and coordinate with Accounting, Cash Applications, and Collections.
• Support end-of-study and close-out audits, revenue adjustments, and other revenue cycle projects as needed.

POSITION

The Remote Project Analyst (AR Specialist) will support the Revenue Cycle team by managing billing and revenue activity for assigned clinical research studies. Once contracts and budgets are finalized, this person will serve as a key financial contact for assigned projects and work closely with Operations, Budgets, Contracts, Accounting, Cash Applications, and Collections. This role is a strong fit for someone who understands clinical research billing, accounts receivable, sponsor/CRO invoicing, and the importance of clean, accurate data in a clinical trial management system.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the primary financial contact for assigned clinical research studies, working closely with internal operations and finance teams
• Review contracts, work orders, and amendments to understand billing terms, invoicing requirements, and financial obligations
• Review and reconcile study visit activity in the clinical trial management system against Sponsor/CRO EDC systems
• Ensure billable items, including non-visit revenue, are properly tracked, supported, and invoiced
• Prepare monthly revenue and billing files, assist with sponsor/CRO statements, and coordinate with Accounting, Cash Applications, and Collections
• Support end-of-study and close-out audits, revenue adjustments, and other revenue cycle projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• Clinical research billing, accounts receivable, revenue cycle, or sponsor/CRO invoicing experience required
• 1-2+ years of professional experience in finance, revenue cycle, billing, AR, accounting, or a related role
• Experience with RealTime or RealTime Link is a plus, but not required
• Moderate Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables
• Detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and comfortable communicating with internal teams and external Sponsor/CRO contacts
