Job summary

UNC Health Nash is seeking a Clinical Recruiter to drive recruitment for experienced registered nurses, allied health professionals, and advanced practice nurses who share UNC Health Nash's mission and values.

The role manages postings, applications, and recruitment processes, partnering with nursing leaders to support needs and partnerships with area colleges. This is a full-time onsite position with standard 40-hour weeks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or comparable clinical degree.
• Bachelor's degree in an HR-related field preferred.
• Licensed to practice as an LPN/RN in the state of North Carolina, preferred.
• 3+ years nurse recruitment experience or 3+ years of RN experience in last 10 years if licensed.
• 3+ years of recruiting experience if non-licensed in Nursing.

Summary

The Clinical Recruiter, in conjunction with Talent Acquisition leadership, is responsible for recruitment administration focused on attracting and efficiently hiring qualified and competent experienced registered nurses, allied health, new-to-practice nurses, and advance practice nurses who embrace UNC Health Nash's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Must have excellent public speaking and written communication skills and exemplify professionalism and enthusiasm.
• Manages job postings, review of applications, attention to legal aspects of interviewing and EEO principles and completion of Human Resource forms for selecting applicants, in adherence with federal and state employment laws.
• Partners closely with nursing leaders throughout the organization to both support their recruitment needs and engage them in the recruitment process.
• Attends career days at area colleges and universities to recruit for nursing and allied health positions.
• Meets with schools of nursing and allied health affiliated with UNC Health Nash and in coordination with the Manager of Organizational Learning to develop/enhance recruitment-related partnerships.
• Maintains positive, supportive and enthusiastic communication and dialogue with prospective applicants, nursing students, Hospital staff, and the public at large.
• Knowledge of and adherence to human resources, hospital and regulatory requirements is critical for this role.
• Uses data and feedback from all applicants to improve the recruitment and hiring experience.
• Maintains and updates vacancy reports for nursing staff, prepares staffing reports, and tracking of all nursing position numbers throughout the hospital.
• Assists in planning, organizing, and implementing creative ideas to retain nursing staff.
• Adherence to federal and state employment laws.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or comparable clinical degree, preferred
• Bachelor's degree in an HR-related field, preferred

License / Certification Requirements

• Licensed to practice as an LPN/RN in the state of North Carolina, preferred.

Professional Experience Requirements

• Candidate must have either 3+ years of nurse recruitment experience or 3+ years of registered nurse experience within the last 10 years, if licensed RN
• Candidate must have 3+ years of recruiting experience, if non licensed in Nursing
• Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, employment laws and best practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
