Job summary

NextPhase Research Florida is seeking an experienced Clinical Research Rater to join our CNS research team. This role focuses on psychiatric interviews, rating scales, and cognitive assessments for participants in CNS studies.

The position requires strong clinical interviewing skills, DSM-5 knowledge, and familiarity with tools like MADRS, HAM-D, PANSS, MINI, SCID, YMRS, BPRS, and C-SSRS. Prior clinical research experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in psychology or medical psychiatry preferred.
• Two years of clinical experience with psychiatric population.
• One year of experience working in clinical research preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric diagnostic interviews and clinical assessments.
• Administer and score psychiatric rating scales (MADRS, HAM-D, PANSS, MINI, SCID, YMRS, BPRS, C-SSRS, and other protocol-specific scales).
• Assess participants' psychiatric symptoms and level of functioning throughout clinical trials.
• Administer neurocognitive battery in subjects with different CNS indications.
• Complete subject’s clinical intake forms and submit to the study team as specified.
• Assess and complete subject eligibility/screening forms and interact with medical monitor regarding inquiries.
• Conduct telephone screens and pre-screen potential candidates.
• Adhere to confidentiality, informed consent and subject rights policies.
• Familiarize with Good Clinical Practices and ethical guidelines related to trials.
• Understand FDA regulations pertaining to clinical trials.
• Review medical history with CRC information and reconcile records for PI notes.
• Complete Study Guides and Study Launch with CRC.
• Assist team in management and assessment of adverse events.
• Ensure safety of subjects.
• Assist with recruitment efforts.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to research staff.
