AIMS Locum Tenens seeks a Radiation Therapy Medical Physicist (FT/PT/PRN) to support BAMC, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. You will ensure accurate treatment planning, safe delivery, and proper monitoring in a DoD medical setting.

Responsibilities include IMRT/VMAT/SBRT planning, brachytherapy support, QA/testing, and collaboration with physicians, dosimetrists, and therapists. Must have CAMPEP Master’s, TX license, ABR/ABMP, and BLS. Telework not permitted.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from a CAMPEP-accredited program in medical physics or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical medical physics experience in the last 4 years.
• Board certification in diagnostic, nuclear, or therapeutic medical physics, ABR or ABMP.
• Current Texas Medical Physicist licensure and BLS certification.
• U.S. citizenship.

Responsabilités

• Provide clinical radiation therapy physics, treatment planning, consultation and equipment support.
• Plan and support IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRS, IGRT, SGRT treatments.
• Support LDR/HDR brachytherapy; supervise prostate, gynecologic and breast applications.
• Perform acceptance testing, commissioning, calibration, and routine QA of equipment.
• Conduct daily/monthly/annual physics testing per AAPM guidelines.
• Maintain NRC-licensed brachytherapy sources and act as AMP as required.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and verify treatment plans.
• Train staff on new equipment upgrades and QA procedures.
