Job summary

American Institutes for Research seeks a Clinical Quality Measure Project Associate to join the Healthcare Transformation Team. This role contributes to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs) aligned with QDM and FHIR standards.

You will support CMS eCQM Annual Update publication processes, coordinate across measure teams, review CMS-published eCQMs, and develop supporting documentation. Collaboration across a dispersed team is essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or BA with 2–5 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of MMS Blueprint quality measure development and maintenance activities.
• Familiarity with MADiE and VSAC.
• Experience coordinating projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with EHRs and clinical workflows preferred but not required.

AIR is seeking a Clinical Quality Measure Project Associate to join AIR’s Healthcare Transformation Team. Responsibilities

The responsibilities for the position include:

• Contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs). Ensure these measures are aligned with the Quality Data Model (QDM) and Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standards.
• Support the CMS electronic clinical quality measures (eCQM) Annual Update (AU) publication process by coordinating across measure teams to meet AU milestones.
• Review and provide feedback on eCQMs published annually by CMS.
• Develop AU supporting documentation, including measure technical release notes and measure flows.
• Contribute to quality measure maintenance activities, such as expert workgroup coordination and facilitation, performance data review, and implementer feedback reviews, to inform measure updates.
• Develop and maintain standard templates, processes, and workflows, all elements of which shall be consistent with AIR’s best practices and contract requirements.
• Provide support in project planning and implementation by managing, monitoring, and tracking project tasks using standard processes and workflows.
• Contribute to meetings with project teams and clients through agenda preparation and notetaking.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, and Experience

• Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of related experience or equivalent education.
• Knowledge of Measures Management System (MMS) Blueprint quality measure development and maintenance activities.
• Familiarity with measure development tools such as Measure Authoring Development Integrated Environment (MADiE) and Value Set Authority Center (VSAC).
• Prior experience coordinating projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience effectively managing multiple activities to meet deadlines. Knowledge of electronic health records (EHRs) and clinical workflows in physician practices or other healthcare settings preferred, but not required.

Salary offers are made based on internal equity within the institution and external equity with competitive markets. Please note this is the annual salary range for candidates that are based in the United States.

$70,000 - $87,000 USD
