Job summary

Wayne UNC Health Care is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to support inpatients and outpatients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The role is on-site and aligns with a 40-hour work week, typically a day schedule at the Wayne MED location in North Carolina.

The position requires an Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant, NC licensure or eligibility, and BLS. New graduates may be considered; prior PTA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from a CAPTE approved PTA program or equivalent.
• NC PTA licensure or eligibility. BLS required and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Assists the licensed Physical Therapist in carrying out procedures and treatment programs.
• Monitors patient responses and suggests plan modifications as needed.
• Completes timely documentation and accurate charges for patients.
• Maintains productive patient flow and supports scheduling changes.
• Supervises Rehab Services Technicians during treatments where appropriate.
• Provides input to supervising therapist when problems arise.
