Job summary

Georgia Gwinnett College seeks an Assistant Professor in Psychology with a Clinical Psychology focus beginning August 1, 2027. Priority reviews start November 6; applications accepted until filled.

The 4/4 teaching load covers lower- and upper-division courses with emphasis on statistics and research methods to support over 900 psychology majors. Successful candidates will have a three-year renewable appointment and will contribute to student-centered learning.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in the discipline (or closely related field) before August 1, 2027 with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours (or 30 quarter credits) within the discipline.

Responsibilities

• Developing course curricula, including syllabus, lesson plans, and graded assignments for upper division.
• Evaluating students to measure progress towards institutional and course goals.
• Serving on department and college-wide committees.
• Engaging with students on campus through extracurricular activities.
• Formal advising of students regarding course planning and career readiness; mentoring students each semester.
