Job summary

Achieve Beyond Pediatric Therapy & Autism Services in Nassau, NY seeks a Clinical Psychologist to support children with special needs across home, school, and clinic settings. The role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to contribute to evaluations and goal development.

Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, writing reports and social histories, developing IFSP/IEP goals, and ensuring services are delivered in the child’s primary language, with a collaborative team and HIPAA

Qualifications

• Valid NYS Clinical Psychologist license.
• Passion for working with children and families.
• Self-motivated and a team player with professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer psychological evaluations in home and school settings.
• Gather information to develop social histories.
• Write evaluation reports and social histories on time.
• Develop IFSP and/or IEP goals.
• Ensure evaluations occur in the child’s primary language.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant confidentiality and timely records.

Job Responsibilities for a Clinical Psychologist:

• Administer Psychological Evaluations in home and/or school based settings.
• Gather necessary information to conduct social histories.
• Write comprehensive evaluation reports and social histories and submit them in a timely manner.
• Write Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and/or Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) goals.
• Determine need for additional assessments per observation and child needs.
• Conduct evaluations in the primary language of the child.
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and State & Federal regulations) and submit records to agency within established deadlines.

Requirements for a Clinical Psychologist:

• Must have a passion for working with children and families!
• Valid NYS Clinical Psychologist license
• Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to:
• Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.

Starting Rate: Per evaluation $130.00-$350.00
Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during theClinical PsychologistJob interview process.
