Job summary

Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice in Macon, GA is seeking a Psychologist for the Macon YDC. The role conducts diagnostic evaluations, provides clinical supervision, and leads mental health services within a secure juvenile setting.

The position requires a Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology, a current Georgia license, and at least two years of relevant experience. Duties include direct treatment, crisis intervention, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program.
• Current Georgia license to practice psychology.
• Two years of experience at the Psychologist 2 level or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document diagnostic evaluations following professional standards and DJJ guidelines.
• Provide clinical supervision to mental health staff; ensure supervision is documented and available 24/7 when needed.
• Evaluate and monitor mental health services for compliance with DJJ policy and professional standards; lead quality assurance efforts.
• Provide clinical treatment services to youth using group, individual, or family modalities; offer crisis intervention when needed.
• Lead clinical education and leadership for mental health services; participate in weekly team meetings and training programs.
