Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services, Terrell Center for Youth, seeks a Psychologist II (Clinical Psychologist) to lead psychological services under supervision of the State Hospital Director. Responsibilities include coordinating programs, performing evaluations, diagnosing, counseling, and supervising staff.

Licensed or eligible in Texas, with a doctoral degree in psychology and experience in clinical or forensic settings.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited program.
• Experience with individual and group psychotherapy.
• Licensed psychologist in Texas or eligible for licensure.
• Knowledge of DSM criteria and psychological assessment methods.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual or group counseling for youth, adults, and families.
• Administers and interprets psychological tests and conducts assessments.
• Supervises the work of other psychologists or mental health professionals.
• Develops and coordinates training programs for staff and stakeholders.
• Coordinates and evaluates mental health and psychological delivery services.
• Participates in disaster response and Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning.
