Job summary

The CIA seeks highly skilled Clinical Psychologists to support national security through assessments, interventions, consultations, and training for CIA officers. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program and an active psychology license in the U.S.

or DC, with the ability to travel or live abroad. Strong experience in evaluation, report writing, and briefing stakeholders is required.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree from an APA-accredited clinical psychology program.
  • Completion of an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship or residency.
  • Active license in clinical psychology in the U.S., D.C., or a U.S. territory.
  • GPA 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) in graduate school.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Expertise in psychological assessment and diagnosis.
  • Experience with multidisciplinary teams, reporting, and briefing stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel and/or live abroad.
  • Eligibility for CIA background investigation and U.S. citizenship.
  • BLS for Providers certification and recent clinical activity (last 5 years).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments.
  • Provide evidence-based interventions.
  • Offer expert consultations to CIA officers.
  • Train CIA personnel and brief stakeholders.
  • Operate in clinical and operational settings as needed.
