Achieve Beyond in Brooklyn, NY seeks a Clinical Psychologist to evaluate and support children with special needs across home, school, and clinic settings. The role emphasizes collaboration with families and a strong ethical standard to deliver high-quality pediatric therapy services.

The psychologist will conduct evaluations, prepare reports, and help develop IFSP/IEP goals while ensuring language accessibility and confidentiality per HIPAA and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have a passion for working with children and families!
• Valid NYS Clinical Psychologist license
• Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Administer Psychological Evaluations in home and/or school based settings.
• Gather necessary information to conduct social histories.
• Write comprehensive evaluation reports and social histories and submit them in a timely manner.
• Write Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and/or Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) goals.
• Determine need for additional assessments per observation and child needs.
• Conduct evaluations in the primary language of the child.
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and State & Federal regulations) and submit records to agency within established deadlines.

We serve children and families in the metro New York area (all 5 boroughs of NYC, Hudson Valley, Long Island and Albany), Virginia/DC area, Maryland, New Jersey, Connecticut and Delaware.

Location

Brooklyn, NY (New York City). Cases available throughout Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island boroughs.

Wage

Evaluations $166.00-$298.00 per evaluation.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to:
• Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.

Starting Rate

Per evaluation $166.00-$298.00

Additional Information

Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during the Clinical Psychologist job interview process.
