Job summary

UC Davis Health is seeking a Protocol Development Officer in Radiology and Radiation Oncology to lead Investigator Initiated Trials from concept through activation and to implement industry-sponsored projects. The role requires advanced knowledge of FDA, GCP, NIH guidelines and IRB policies, with strong communication and analytical skills to coordinate and execute protocols.

Occasional travel between UC Davis Health and EMIC, plus overtime, is required.

Qualifications

• SoCRA or ACRP certification required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with related experience.
• 5–7 years of clinical research experience.
• 5+ years in protocol development from concept to activation.
• Advanced knowledge of FDA/GCP/NIH guidelines and IRB policies.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and clinical trial databases.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Investigator Initiated Trials from concept to activation.
• Coordinate and manage industry-sponsored projects.
• Ensure trials comply with FDA, GCP, NIH and IRB policies.
• Mentor junior CRCs as needed.
