Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital Inc. is seeking a leader to plan, implement, and evaluate administrative and direct care activities for an assigned program team.

You will direct professional and support staff to ensure patient care is delivered effectively and aligned with hospital goals. The role requires a Master’s degree in nursing or related field, current licensure, and at least three years of clinical leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing, hospital admin, business admin or related field required.
• Current licensure relevant to professional discipline required.
• Three years of clinical experience in area of expertise required.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations of the department(s) and ensures staff meet performance standards.
• Oversees delivery of patient care by all staff within the department(s).
• Develops and implements plans to meet hospital goals and departmental objectives.
• Monitors expense and capital budgets for the department(s).
• Schedules resources to provide patient care cost-effectively.
• Develops departmental policies and procedures and reviews other hospital policies as appropriate.
• Ensures staff orientation and identifies staff learning needs.
• Coordinates staff representation on departmental and hospital committees and task forces.
• Leads quality improvement and safety initiatives for areas of responsibility.
• Supports clinical research projects and coordinates student clinical experiences.
