Job description

Role Summary

Arine, a healthcare technology company, seeks a Clinical Program Pharmacist to help develop and maintain its medication‑intelligence software platform and optimize patient outcomes. The pharmacist will work closely with Engineering, Product, Implementation, Client Success, and Data Analyst teams, supervising the clinical quality of product content and participating in clinical program development.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the platform subject‑matter expert, responding to questions from providers, internal and external users, client success, and leadership.
  • Triage and prioritize bugs, and improve clinical algorithms, workflows, and performance metrics based on quality measures and clinical guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively in written and oral formats to resolve clinical issues and collaborate on solutions with engineering, product, clinical care teams, and clients.
  • Develop intervention strategies to optimize medication utilization and achieve quality measures.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing of clinical outputs and assist in customer demonstrations.
  • Prepare and test new clinical content within the Arine Platform.
  • Comply with all company policies and state and federal rules and regulations.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited college/university.
  • Licensed by a state Board of Pharmacy and in good standing.
  • Completion of a PGY‑1 residency or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to review and assess the appropriateness of medications with respect to age and disease‑state considerations.
  • Knowledge of chronic disease states (diabetes, heart failure, COPD, asthma, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, dyslipidemia, HIV, ESRD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, thought disorders).
  • Understanding of the influence of patient age, sex, comorbidities, concurrent drug therapy, and dietary factors on drug activity and disposition.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory requirements related to pharmacy practice.
  • Ability to understand and translate clinical guidelines and technical specifications into program design.
  • Knowledge of prescription and non‑prescription drugs and their indications, efficacy, dosage, mechanisms of action, contraindications, and side effects.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and work within technical environments using SQL, Excel, or logic‑based tools.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills; excellent communication with clients and internal team.
  • Self‑directed, applies judgment, meets deadlines, and fosters effective teamwork.
Nice‑to‑Haves
  • Board certification in a relevant area.
  • Experience with pharmacy technology and EHR systems.
  • Experience with quality measures (CMS, PQA, HEDIS).
  • Experience reviewing pharmacy, demographic, or medical claims.
  • Experience with drug databases.
  • Experience managing work on ticketing systems (JIRA) and documentation (Confluence).
  • Familiarity with HTML, JSON, or FHIR.
  • Ability to interpret health plan formulary.

Salary

Expected salary: $135,000 – $140,000 per year, commensurate with experience and location. Additional compensation components, benefits, and perks are not included in this range.
