Children’s National Hospital in Rockville, MD is seeking a Clinical Program Coordinator to lead the patient care delivery team within the Hematology department and coordinate nursing care for pediatric patients. You will consult with physicians and other providers to resolve health concerns and ensure continuity of care across settings.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of nursing experience, including one year in pediatrics and leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum education: Bachelor's Degree (Required).
  • Minimum of 5 years nursing experience, with at least 1 year recent pediatric experience in a comparable setting.
  • At least 1 year of demonstrated nursing leadership experience (e.g., charge nurse, educator, preceptor, council chair/member).

Responsibilities

  • Lead activities of the patient care delivery team for a specific patient population.
  • Coordinate nursing care and services for patients and families by various modes (telephonic, electronic, in person, mail).
  • Consult with physicians and other healthcare providers to resolve health concerns.

Will coordinate nursing care and services for patients and family members in specific healthcare specialty encounters by telephonic, electronic, in person, and/or by mail. Will consult with physicians, and other healthcare providers to resolve health concerns.All nursing practice is based on the legal scope of practice, national and specialty nursing standards, CNMC Policies and Procedures, and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. The Professional Model of Care requires registered professional nurses to be responsible and accountable for their own practice. CNMC support the development of RN relationships within the community, specifically those relationships associated with the health and well being of the community at large.
