The role includes mentoring new staff and preceptors, coordinating unit-based onboarding, and delivering practical training on care planning, assessment, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Previous teaching or precepting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with frontline clinical staff.
• Mentor new clinical staff and preceptors to ensure success.

• Teach care management including assessment, interdisciplinary planning, and discharge planning.
• Identify learning needs and serve as a resource for staff.

Our education department seeks a dynamic and experienced Clinical Professional Development Specialist to lead initiatives that empower healthcare professionals, enhance clinical competencies, and support lifelong learning. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of patient care by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and evidence‐based practice.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain productive working relationships internally and externally by building teams and relationships through mentoring, support, and positive communication working directly with frontline clinical staff.
• Serve as a formal and informal mentor for new clinical staff members and mentor new preceptors to be successful in their role.
• Responsible for unit‑based onboarding and orientation.
• Teach staff how to manage the care of patients including assessment, interdisciplinary planning, implementation, evaluation of patient care, teaching, and discharge planning.
• Identify, communicate, and respond to meet the learning needs of clinical staff.
• Serve as a resource/consultant for patients, nursing staff, and other disciplines in area of specialty.
• Promote patient education needs for frontline clinical staff.
• Training/education of clinical staff during non‑traditional work hours may be required based on the needs of the assigned unit.

Preferred Experience / Qualifications

Previous teaching or precepting experience preferred.
