Job summary

Orlando Health Digest Health Institute in Zephyrhills, FL seeks a Clinical Practice Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the clinical staff in the Digestive Health Institute. This role combines operational leadership with clinical supervision to ensure high-quality patient care and compliant practice management.

You will participate in hiring, coaching, training, and performance reviews; coordinate scheduling, reporting, and workflow, and serve as a liaison to physicians and administrators.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent completed.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school required or above.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the clinical staff and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Status: Full Time - Monday -Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Location: Zephyrhills, FL

Position Summary: The Clinical Practice Supervisor has operational and clinical supervisory responsibility and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the clinical staff within the department.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• The Supervisor focuses on daily operations such as personnel supervision, compliance with organizational policies and procedures,facility management, patient scheduling and business-related reporting and functions.
• Participates in the hiring, supervision, work assignments, coaching plans, and disciplinary actions of assigned team members.
• Acts as a resource for the service line Assistant Vice President, Director of Operations, and/or Operations Manager.
• Collaborates with the service line Clinical Operations Manager or Director of Nursing to ensure clinical quality and standardization.
• Manages operations to provide physician clients with the most efficient and cost-effective clinical operation.
• Schedule’s staffing to meet changing workload needs.
• Identifies training needs for team members and facilitates development opportunities. This includes the evaluation of training,implementation, orientation, and participation of education programs.
• Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates quality assurance activities, ensuring compliance with standards, laws, regulations,and procedures. Recommends new and/or revised policies and procedures to the department.
• Able to analyze medical records and documentation and identify problem areas.
• Able to collaborate effectively with physicians and administrative staff.
• Assist physician(s) with creation of strategies for efficiency and growth of the practice.
• Provides management reports to physicians and administration for review, practice planning, practice marketing, and completespractice development.
• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet development, and presentation skills required.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and supervisory skills required.
• Provides department level orientation to new team members to include system software, telephone processes and protocols, officeequipment usage, departmental policies and procedures, customer service expectations, job competencies, and coaching plans.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state,and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Other Related Functions

• Educates and supervises clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Provides necessary documentation relating to policies and procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality of data and information.
• Functions as a member of the medial office management team.
• Knowledge of medical practice protocols and standards.
• Skilled in documentation of patient care including reviewing for accuracy and completeness.
• Other clinical tasks/duties as needed.

Qualifications

Education/Training

High school graduate or equivalent.Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school required or above.

Licensure/Certification

• Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification – and maintains current certification by one of the following agencies:
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) (www.aama-ntl.org)
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by American Medical Technologists (AMT) (www.amt1.com)
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by National Health Career Association (NHA) (www.nhanow.com)
• National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) by National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) (www.ncctinc.com)

Experience

Two (2) years of related experience required.
