Job summary

MDS Staffing seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant to support licensed Physical Therapists by implementing treatment plans and documenting patient care in Billings, Montana.

You will perform therapeutic exercises, apply manual therapy, manage schedules, and participate in department in-services while upholding infection control and compliance standards. A valid state license, CPR certification, and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA-accredited program.
• Current state license to practice Physical Therapy.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer treatment plans as developed by the Physical Therapist and document care.
• Provide non-complex active and passive manual therapies, massage, traction, and modalities.
• Accurately document daily, weekly, or monthly records and submit paperwork on time.
• Attend educational meetings and contribute to department in-services.
• Notify supervisors of equipment failures, supply shortages, staff or patient changes, and other issues.
• Schedule patients and perform general office tasks.
• Apply infection control and universal precautions during care.
• Accept clinical assignments that match education and competence levels.
• Promote compliance with fiscal intermediaries and third-party payors through education and coaching.
