Job summary

PIH Health Hospital in Whittier, CA is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant I to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist following physician referrals.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of a CAPTE-accredited PTA program, holds a California PTA license (or is eligible), CPR certified, and ready to work with patients across ages in home health, acute care, or outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant Associate Degree program accredited by CAPTE.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in California, or eligible to take the examination for licensure in California.
• At least two years of PTA experience preferred in home health, acute care facility or outpatient clinic.
• CPR certification.
• Current driver’s license and valid auto insurance.
• Preferred: Basic computer skills, Windows and Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of a qualified Physical Therapist upon physician referral.
