Job summary

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York State required.
• Current limited permit to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York State required (outpatient settings only).
• Eligible for the NYS 90-day post-doctoral graduation practice exemption under direct on-site supervision; permit or license must be current before the exemption period expires.
• 3+ years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Administers direct patient care in accordance with physician prescription.
• Utilizes evaluation techniques with efficiency and thoroughness.
• Designs a treatment program to achieve established goals.
• Makes observations of patient status and modifies treatment as needed.
• Responds to department emergency procedures for patient safety when necessary.
• Submits required documentation per department policies.
• Participates in quality improvement chart reviews.
• Attends family meetings and interacts with interdisciplinary staff.
• Performs related duties as required; all essential functions per ADA.
