Job summary

St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to evaluate, plan, direct and administer physical therapy treatments as prescribed by a licensed physician.

The staff PT will help patients regain function after injury or disability, coordinate with rehab staff and physicians, and supervise PTA’s and rehabilitation techs while participating in department CQI, budget monitoring, infection control and safety programs. WV license and current BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a School of Physical Therapy approved by the APTA Accreditation Board.
• Successful completion of West Virginia State Board Examination with WV license.
• Current BLS required; WV licensure must be maintained.
• APTA membership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, direct and administer physical therapy treatments as prescribed by a licensed physician.
• Administer treatments and physical agents to restore function and prevent disability.
• Coordinate and supervise PTA’s, rehab techs, and other staff.
• Participate in CQI, monitor budget guidelines, infection control, and safety programs.
