UPMC is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist to review patient charts, perform initial assessments, develop treatment plans, administer physical therapy treatments, and monitor progress to improve functional outcomes. The role includes discharge planning and patient education within a collaborative healthcare team.

The therapist will communicate with physicians and care teams, supervise PTAs, and ensure compliant documentation and productive scheduling while maintaining high-quality patient care.

Formación

• Active license in the practicing state required.
• CPR/BLS certification required per AHA standards within 30 days of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• Strong customer service skills and ability to provide patient education.

Responsabilidades

• Communicates patient's status to the referring physician and other health care team members.
• Develops plan of care and goals; administers physical therapy treatments.
• Supervises physical therapist assistants in pediatric to geriatric patient care and adjusts plans.
• Documents initial assessment, follow-up visits, and discharge summaries per department standards.
