PediaStaff is partnering with a leading pediatric therapy provider in Shively, KY to hire a Physical Therapist for a pediatric outpatient clinic. You will evaluate and treat children with developmental, orthopedic, and neuromuscular needs, and collaborate with families and a multidisciplinary team.

Full-time or part-time options, typical schedule is 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, with flexibility including later hours and Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted PT license (or in the process).
• Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
• Passion for working with children and families.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat children birth through age 21 with diverse congenital, developmental, neurological, and orthopedic conditions.
• Improve mobility through skilled gross motor interventions, gait training, equipment and orthotic management, neuro-muscular re-education, therapeutic exercise, and functional mobility training.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help children achieve meaningful developmental and functional outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with caregivers and interdisciplinary team members to maximize each child's success.
• Provide evidence-based physical therapy services that support participation at home, school, and within the community.
• Maintain licensure, ethical, and regulatory requirements; complete timely documentation and progress reporting.

Position Details

What You'll Do

The primary responsibility of the Physical Therapist is to evaluate and provide treatment for children with physical, emotional, and/or psychosocial needs.

1. Examine and evaluate children from birth through age 21 with a variety of congenital, developmental, neurological, and orthopedic conditions
2. Improve mobility through skilled gross motor interventions, including gait training, equipment and orthotic management, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic exercise, and functional mobility training
3. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans designed to help children achieve meaningful developmental and functional outcomes
4. Collaborate closely with caregivers and interdisciplinary team members to maximize each child's success
5. Provide evidence-based physical therapy services that support participation at home, school, and within the community
6. Maintain professional and technical competencies while upholding all state licensure, ethical, and regulatory requirements
7. Complete timely documentation, progress reporting, and family education as part of comprehensive pediatric care

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Current, unrestricted Physical Therapy license (or in the process of obtaining licensure)
