Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a pharmacy technician to assist with ensuring smooth and accurate pharmacy operations under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The role emphasizes patient service, prescription processing, and inventory control to support high-quality infusion care.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and 0–6 months of relevant experience. Training is provided, with opportunities to grow within a nationwide home infusion provider.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–6 months of relevant experience.
• Licensed or registered within 6 months if state requires.
• Successful enrollment/completion of the OCH designated training course within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Review/validate basic prescription drug refill requests and process per policies.
• Assist with preparing and dispensing medications and supplies.
• Assist with maintaining equipment through calibration, inspection, cleaning, testing, and reporting defects.
• Collect basic patient information to ensure accurate planning of materials and prescriptions.
• Help ensure a positive patient experience by answering basic questions and requests.
• Receive and verify incoming supplies, stock and store materials, and track expirations.
