Job description

SUMMARY

Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator, performs a wide range of routine and complex duties in support of clinical pharmacy, with a focus on optimizing patient medication adherence and health processes and outcomes as reflected by quality-of-care measures. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, registry management, chart review, patient outreach, meetings with payors, and optimization of workflows to help the organization maximize opportunities with payor star measures. This position is fully remote with in office location availability as needed.

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

High School degree (or equivalent education, training or experience) and certification from an approved pharmacy technician program with appropriate registration as required by Massachusetts Pharmacy Board of Registration, as well as National Pharmacy Training Certification required. Bachelor's or Associate's degree in medical assisting, communication or related field preferred. Commensurate pharmacy experience and pharmacy knowledge may substitute for certification/registration.

EXPERIENCE

Requires knowledge of medication abbreviation and symbols as well as common drug nomenclature. Requires knowledge of and previous experience with laws and regulations related to pharmacy practice and patient confidentiality.

SKILLS

Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills required. Must demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills as well as problem-solving abilities. Strong computer skills required using Microsoft systems and previous electronic medical record experience strongly preferred.
