Job summary

Option Care Health in Carmel, IN seeks a Pharmacy Operations Associate to assist under a licensed Pharmacist. You will help process refills, prepare medications, and ensure accurate labeling and packaging in compliance with state standards.

Responsibilities include inventory control, scheduling deliveries, training junior staff, and maintaining clean work areas. A high school diploma or GED and basic Microsoft Office skills are required; prior customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience with internal and external customers; adherence to quality standards.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations; accuracy in data handling.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic MS Word proficiency for document formatting.
• Basic MS Excel proficiency for currency formatting and data handling.
• Basic MS PowerPoint proficiency for creating simple slides and notes.

Responsibilities

• Process prescription refills for drugs, PN/high risk, heparin/saline.
• Process new drug prescriptions and perform counts/pours/mixes.
• Package products into appropriate containers and label correctly.
• Provide instruction to Clinical Pharmacy Technician I’s.
• Maintain inventory levels through validation and reporting.
• Develop purchase orders to address shortages; schedule deliveries.
• Collect and maintain patient data for assessments.
• Respond to non-routine patient questions and requests.
• Clean and sanitize work surfaces and laminar hood flows.
• Ensure compliance with policies and state regulations.
