Job summary

University of Maryland Eastern Shore seeks a full-time, twelve-month, non-tenure track pharmacy faculty member to provide didactic and experiential instruction in pharmacy practice, with emphasis on ambulatory care, and maintain an active clinical practice.

The successful candidate will develop and deliver courses, collaborate in team-taught curricula, and engage in scholarly activities, service, and interprofessional collaboration to advance population health initiatives.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy required.
• PGY1 residency preferred or at least three (3) years of experience in clinical pharmacy practice or ambulatory care.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and organizational skills.
• A team approach to patient care.
• Strong commitment to teaching excellence, student engagement, research collaboration, and service.

Responsibilities

• Provide didactic and experiential instruction in pharmacy practice, with emphasis ambulatory care and related disciplines.
• Maintain an active clinical practice that supports interprofessional collaboration and student learning.
• Develop, deliver, and continuously improve courses to meet accreditation standards; collaborate effectively in team-taught courses.
• Engage in scholarly activities related to area of expertise.
• Participate in service to the school/university and regional, state, and national professional organizations.
• Provide comprehensive population health/ambulatory care pharmacy services and patient education to optimize outcomes.
