Job summary

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville seeks a Pharmacy Clinical Manager to design, implement, and oversee hospital pharmacy clinical programs, including formulary management and policy development, with a focus on education across care settings.

The role requires hospital pharmacy leadership experience; PGY2 or BCPS is preferred. It also serves as coverage when the Pharmacy Director is unavailable, ensuring continuity of care and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• B.S. or Pharm D. from ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy required.
• Doctor of Pharmacy from ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year as a Pharmacy Clinical/Operations Specialist required.
• At least 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience required; preferably within area of focus.
• Completion of hospital PGY2/pharmacy specialty residency or fellowship preferred.
• Preferred BCPS certification preferred.
• Other certification (e.g. FCCP, FASHP) preferred.
• Hospital Pharmacy Management experience preferred.
• Experience performing basic mathematical calculations, balance and reconciliation of figures required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage the pharmacy clinical programs, including formulary management.
• Policy and procedure development and education across the healthcare spectrum.
• Assist in managing the pharmacy when the Pharmacy Director or designee is unavailable.
