Job summary

WVU Medicine seeks a full-time Clinical Pharmacy Float to provide flexible coverage across adult Medicine Specialist and Hospitalist services. The role emphasizes clinical care, order verification, and pharmacotherapy management, with day shifts and occasional weekend/holiday coverage.

Responsibilities include multidisciplinary rounding, drug safety oversight, and participation in teaching learners. The position supports inter-divisional resilience and high-quality patient care within the WVU

Qualifications

• Pharmacist licensure in the state where services are provided.
• Pharm.D. degree from an ACPE-accredited program is preferred.
• BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Review orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Dispense medications per provider orders.
• Ensure compliance with drug distribution policies and safety procedures.
• Identify and help resolve drug-use problems and adverse drug reactions.
• Provide education and participate in clinical pharmacotherapy activities.
