A healthcare system based in MA is looking for a Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator to join their team. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who is passionate about patient care and eager to take on leadership responsibilities. The position involves a blend of clinical and administrative tasks, providing a unique opportunity to flex both clinical and leadership muscles. The role will be 60% patient care, involving pharmacist tasks, mentoring other pharmacists, participating in monthly meetings to review medications, and assisting with writing orders. The remaining 40% will be administrative, including coordinating SOPs and policies, checking in with providers, answering provider-based questions, and assisting with filtering information regarding EPIC changes.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and guide other pharmacists.
  • Participate in monthly meetings to review medications and assist with writing orders.
  • Check in with providers, answer provider-based questions, and assist with filtering information regarding EPIC changes
  • Oversee scheduling of assigned pharmacists, residents, and/or technicians.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies.
  • Collaborate with peers to achieve departmental and institutional strategic goals.
  • Comply with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8-5pm

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or equivalent required.
  • Registered Pharmacist in Massachusetts.
  • ASHP accredited pharmacy practice residency experience preferred.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience as a pharmacist with three to five years within a hospital environment preferred.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have:

  • Oncology Board Certified (BCOB) if they are close to getting it that is ok!

Compensation:

$140,000 to $150,000 per year annual salary
