Clinical Pharmacist Utilization Management - Remote in PST

This is a full-time, remote position in the PST time zone, with variable hours from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm PST, Monday through Friday, including rotating weekends.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily prior authorization case reviews to meet performance metrics and compliance standards.
• Review specialty medication requests based on treatment protocols, clinical guidelines, and member benefits to ensure accurate decisions within processing times.
• Stay informed on current clinical trends and provide pharmacy consultation to members and healthcare providers.
• Identify process improvements and collaborate with teams and leadership.
• Assist with testing new clinical programs and system enhancements.
• Ensure quality controls and strive for performance improvements in specialty pharmacy practice.
• Maintain drug knowledge and disease state understanding for effective reviews.
• Follow all policies, procedures, and SOPs related to the role.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
• Current and unrestricted California Pharmacist license; willingness to pursue additional state licenses (AZ, CO, NM, NV, UT, ID, WA, OR)
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Prior Authorization or Clinical Pharmacist, including medication therapy management, clinical rounds, or disease management.
• Experience in retail, PBM, infusion, or hospital pharmacy.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong analytical and PC skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Board Certification by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS)
• Certified Geriatric Pharmacist
• Unrestricted pharmacist licenses in AZ, CO, NM, NV, UT, WA, OR
• Over 1 year of experience in Oncology setting
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payor guidelines.

The salary range is $89,800 to $176,700 annually, based on full-time employment and various factors. Benefits include comprehensive packages, incentive programs, stock purchase options, and 401(k).
