Job summary

Elevance Health, based in Atlanta, GA, seeks a Clinical Pharmacist Sr. (Prior Authorization) to provide clinical consulting to clients, develop and manage formularies, and analyze drug use data. This role supports virtual work with essential in-person training and occasional office visits within commuting distance.

Requires a BA/BS in Pharmacy and an active state license. A minimum of four years in a clinical pharmacy setting is expected; PharmD and Medicare Part B prior authorization experience

Position Title: Clinical Pharmacist Sr. (Prior Authorization)

Primary Location: Atlanta, GA

Virtual: This role enables associates to work virtually full-time, with the exception of required in-person training sessions, providing maximum flexibility and autonomy. This approach promotes productivity, supports work-life integration, and ensures essential face-to-face onboarding and skill development. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

How you will make an impact:

• Provides clinical consulting services to client and implements clinical information and education programs.
• Assists in developing formularies.
• Performs drug utilization analyses.
• Participates in and presents to Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) committee meetings and management of client formulary.

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires BA/BS in Pharmacy.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a pharmacist in a clinical setting; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
• Requires a registered pharmacist.
• Must possess an active unrestricted state license to practice pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh).

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Experiences:

• Medicare Part B prior authorization review experience highly preferred.
• PharmD preferred.
