Job summary
Mercy Medical Center Redding seeks a Pharmacist to help physicians and nurses safely prescribe and dispense medications, supporting patient recovery.
You will carefully review prescriptions for safety, assess interactions, dosing, allergies, and authorize dispensing. You will mentor staff and collaborate to standardize clinical pharmacy practices. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available for eligible candidates.
Qualifications
- California Pharmacist license required at hire.
- CPR and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
- Residency completed or 3 years of clinical pharmacy experience.
- Board certification in one or more specialties within 36 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Review every prescription for safety, interactions, dosing, and allergies.
- Authorize dispensing after final pharmacy check.
- Educate medical staff on cost-effective, evidence-based pharmaceutical care.
- Collaborate with pharmacy peers to standardize clinical systems.
- Mentor pharmacy staff to maximize scope of practice.
- Participate in committees and ensure regulatory compliance.
