Job summary

Akicita Federal is hiring Pharmacists to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered pharmaceutical care for the IHS Standing Rock Service Unit at Fort Yates, ND and McLaughlin, SD. You will review orders, provide clinical pharmacotherapy support, counsel patients, and collaborate with care teams to ensure high-quality medication management.

Role includes after-hours coverage as needed and participation in quality improvement efforts. Licensure and Pharm.D.

Qualifications

• Current, full, and unrestricted pharmacist license in the U.S.
• Pharm.D. or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Review, process, and manage medication orders per IHS policies and regulations
• Provide clinical pharmacy support including medication reconciliation and therapy monitoring
• Counsel patients on medication use, adherence, safety, and interactions
• Collaborate with IHS physicians, nurses, and care teams to optimize pharmacotherapy
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the IHS EHR
• Support after-hours pharmacy coverage as needed
• Participate in quality improvement and medication safety initiatives across the unit
