Job summary

Mercy in Ardmore, OK is seeking a Pharmacist to oversee the preparation and dispensing of medications, verify orders, and monitor patient therapy. You’ll serve as a resource for medication information for patients and healthcare professionals, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to optimize care.

Qualifications

• Education: BS or PharmD from ACPE-accredited school.
• Licensure: Current pharmacist license from State Board.
• Preferred Experience: Retail pharmacy experience preferred but not required.
• Preferred Certifications: Pharmacy certification as applicable.

Oversees the preparation and dispensing of medication, medication order verification, insures the monitoring of patient medication therapy. Acts as a resource for the provision of medication information for patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Identifies, recommends, resolves, and prevents medication-related problems through intervention with the physician. Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel to ensure the timeliness of medication administration. Follows approved policies, procedures, protocols, regulatory standards, in executing job responsibilities.

Position Details:

• Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from a School or College of Pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
• Licensure: Requires a current pharmacist license from applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
