Position Summary
This position works in the Quality and Accreditation space within Medical Affairs and contributes to the department's quality and accreditation efforts. The individual is accountable for supporting the accreditation needs of the business and/or clients. Participates in, and may lead, efforts with business process owners to ensure ongoing compliance with accrediting body standards and related CVS Health enterprise policies and procedures.
Responsibilities include:
- Supports accreditation audits for CVS Health and/or delegated client services. Delivers on project plans to ensure colleagues, sites, and/or clients are prepared for successful accreditation reviews. Serves as a liaison to internal partners and/or clients. Contributes to ongoing accreditation compliance efforts such as internal validation reviews; partners with process owners to help resolve compliance gaps.
- Supports Sales and Account Services, Legal, and other impacted business areas with accreditation needs. Participates in client-driven accreditation oversight activities per contractual obligations and provides ongoing support related to accreditation and quality initiatives. Collaborates effectively with all impacted parties to ensure full compliance to delegated functions critical to client satisfaction and retention.
- Provides internal clinical consultative accreditation support through comprehensive research and accurate interpretation of accreditation standards for potential business implications.
- Participates in quality-related processes across the PBM to improve patient safety, elevate consumer experience, and satisfy accreditation requirements. Collaborates with clinical business units to help develop and support quality improvement efforts.
- Contributes to department responsibilities such as credentialing, precepting, committee participation, colleague engagement, and other Medical Affairs or enterprise-wide initiatives as requested by leadership.
- This is a remote role, open to qualified candidates within the United States.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years pharmacist experience, inclusive of experience working in the PBM/managed care environment
- Demonstrated experience in a client-facing role within PBM environment
- Licensed pharmacist in good standing in state of residence

- Strong clinical insight and critical thinking skills: able to ask the right questions, define issues, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Demonstrated experience with US accreditation bodies within PBM environment
- Able to engage in and lead conversations with internal and external audiences. Comfortable speaking and presenting in a group environment which may include internal and external senior leaders (e.g., clients, accrediting bodies)
- Strong project management skills: self-motivated with demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex, ongoing projects, coordinate activities with impacted teams, and meet timelines for critical accreditation and/or client deliverables
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Able to respond skillfully and professionally to customers, accreditors or regulatory agencies with full understanding of the required confidentiality protections for patients and the enterprise
- Regular and reliable attendance; travel when needed (e.g., accreditation audits, client meetings)
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-3 years quality, project management, or accreditation experience
- Demonstrated ability to work with mathematical concepts for assessing and reporting quality performance (including statistical analysis) of clinical programs as well as required accreditation measures
- Demonstrated business proficiency in pharmacy operations (Specialty, UM, Mail Service), clinical product offerings, quality improvement processes, and core organizational functions (e.g., Compliance, Privacy, HR, IT/IS, Enterprise Resiliency)
- Strong PC skills: Office 365 (including MS Excel) with ability to quickly learn new applications as needed
Education
- BS in Pharmacy or PharmD
- Registered Pharmacist in good standing in state of residence

Time Type: Full time
Pay Range: The typical pay range for this role is $106,200.00 - $225,000.00. The actual offer will depend on various factors including experience, education, and location. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program.
