HCA Florida West Hospital in Pensacola, FL, is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist PRN to join our care team. The pharmacist will practice pharmacy with a strong ethical focus, participate in patient care rounds, and ensure safe, effective medication use across all patients served.

Qualifications include a pharmacist license and either a Doctorate or a Bachelor’s degree. No travel required; experience is not required. Comprehensive benefits and education support are provided to eligible staff.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary

The clinical pharmacist shall practice the profession of pharmacy with the utmost code of ethics demonstrating the organization's mission and values. The clinical pharmacist is responsible for the safe, effective, evidence-based, and cost-effective selection and utilization of medications for the patients in which they serve. The clinical pharmacist uses advanced knowledge, skills, and professional judgment in all aspects of his or her work. The clinical pharmacist serves as a patient advocate when planning and implementing pharmaceutical care within a multidisciplinary rounding team, collaborating with other healthcare professionals in a knowledgeable and professional manner. Adherence to all regulatory and medication safety guidelines are at the forefront of all actions and decisions made within the practice of the clinical pharmacist.
