Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist with valid IDFPR registration or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• ACCEPTS RESPONSIBILITY FOR CHECKING ALL MEDICATIONS LEAVING THE DEPARTMENT TO VERIFY QUALITY ASSURANCE.
• Dispenses medications per physician orders and ensures accurate entry into the computer systems.
• Communicates with healthcare professionals about orders, drug interactions, and dosing questions.
• Oversees technicians and ensures proper use of the Omnicell system.
• Monitors adverse drug reactions and supports pharmacokinetic dosing service.
• Maintains knowledge of chemotherapy agents, IV admixture, and narcotic control.
• Participates in planning, training, and quality improvement activities within pharmacy.
