Job summary

MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, WA is seeking a Pharmacist to deliver prompt and accurate pharmaceutical care for patients, nurses and physicians. The role offers the chance to apply your knowledge toward supporting quality health services.

The position is 0.01 FTE with variable shift and schedule. Candidates should have WA licensure, ASHP residency preferred, and at least one year of pharmacy experience; BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an ASHP accredited pharmacy residency preferred.
• Licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Washington.
• Minimum one year of pharmacy experience preferred in hospital, retail, clinic or other.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association.

• Dispense medications to patients and interpret IV admixture orders and prepare primary IV/solutions.
• Manufacture nonstandard pharmaceutical preparations when required and maintain appropriate records.
• Supervise support personnel and assumes responsibility for final check of all completed work.
• Assist in the inspection of all pharmaceutical supplies on all services.
• Provide for the safe and accurate provision of pharmaceutical care service.

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $72.97 - $98.05 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
