Job summary

Northern Light Health Home Office in Brewer, ME, seeks a licensed pharmacist to provide medication management within an interdisciplinary team, including order verification, compounding oversight, and medication distribution, and to participate in multidisciplinary rounds to optimize patient care.

The role requires a registered pharmacist, a pharmacy degree (Doctorate preferred; bachelor’s acceptable with experience), and at least one year of relevant experience; residency is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in good standing.
• Residency PG1Y preferred.
• 1 year of relevant work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs pharmacotherapy related interventions to optimize patient care.
• Verifies medication orders for clinical appropriateness and accuracy.
• Oversees sterile and non-sterile compounding activities.
• Provides oversight of pharmacy technicians and medication distribution.
• Participates in precepting/ph training of pharmacy students, residents, and new hires.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy

Pharmacy Doctoral degree preferred
