Qualifications

  • PG1Y Residency preferred.
  • Bachelor's in Pharmacy or PharmD; doctoral degree preferred or 10 years experience in lieu of education.

Responsibilities

  • Precepting pharmacy students, residents, technicians and new hires.
  • Participate in patient counseling and multidisciplinary rounds.
  • Provide drug information to providers, nursing, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Perform pharmacotherapy-related interventions to optimize patient care.
  • Verify medication orders for clinical appropriateness and accuracy.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of sterile and non-sterile compounding activities.
  • Oversee pharmacy technicians and medication distribution.
  • Identify problems and solutions to improve patient care and safety.
