Job summary

SSM Health is seeking a pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care, verify orders, compound and dispense medications in accordance with regulations and hospital policy. You will supervise pharmacy technicians and interns, and serve as a resource for clinicians and students.

The role emphasizes patient safety, evidence-based pharmacotherapy, and collaboration across disciplines, with rotating shifts in a hospital setting. Licensing requirements include state credentials and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D or Bachelor of Pharmacy) from an accredited school.
• No experience required.
• Pharmacist license in good standing in relevant states (IL, MO, OK, WI).

Responsibilities

• Verifies medication orders and dispenses pharmaceuticals per regulations and hospital policy.
• Provides clinical consultation with practitioners to ensure safe, cost-effective pharmacotherapy.
• Oversees dispensing process and supervises technicians/interns in drug delivery system.
• Precepts pharmacy students and residents as applicable.
