HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for a part-time 20-hour weekly position. You will be integral to advancing clinical pharmacy practice and improving patient outcomes alongside our care team.

The role involves developing programs, complying with regulations, and supporting services such as drug therapy monitoring, nutrition support, and antimicrobial management.

Qualifications

• BS or PharmD in Pharmacy required.
• Acute-care hospital pharmacist experience preferred.
• FL Pharmacist license or license eligible.
• NAPLEX eligibility.
• Strong reading, verbal instructions, and PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain clinical pharmacy programs to meet patient needs.
• Comply with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
• Interpret, transcribe, and verify orders in the pharmacy system.
• Monitor drug therapy for interactions, allergies, and appropriate dosing.
• Support clinical services like drug consults, nutrition support, anticoagulant monitoring, and antimicrobial management.
• Suggest cost-effective therapeutic alternatives and promote formulary compliance.
• Document all clinical activities and oversee technicians' work.
• Participate in training of pharmacists, students, and technicians.
