AdventHealth in Manchester, KY is hiring a Pharmacist to educate patients and healthcare teams on safe medication use and to provide timely, cost-effective therapy. You will participate in rounds, supervise pharmacy staff, and help ensure safe transitions of care.

Requirements include a PharmD or equivalent, a Texas? license; hospital experience strongly preferred; opportunities for professional development and patient-centered care within a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist (RPH) required.
• Bachelor's degree required; Doctorate preferred; PharmD field.
• 1+ hospital experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate and counsel patients, families, and healthcare team on safe and effective medication use.
• Provide safe, timely, and cost-effective medication therapy; participate in stewardship and safety programs.
• Engage in direct patient care and interdisciplinary rounds, ensuring smooth transitions of care.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy technicians, interns, students, and residents.
• Identify and report medication safety events and errors; optimize documentation.
• Review orders and monitor patient profiles to prevent drug-related problems.
• Participate in quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and accreditation activities.
