UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL seeks a licensed Pharmacist to ensure safe and accurate medication orders, review dosing, counsel patients, and provide drug information to staff and clinicians.

You will supervise technicians, support academic functions as a preceptor, and may float to cover pharmacy needs. Alabama Pharmacist license required; a PharmD or B.Pharm degree is preferred. Join a nationally recognized health system with strong commitment to patient care.

Qualificações

• Licensed Pharmacist with Alabama Board of Pharmacy registration.
• Bachelor's or PharmD degree in Pharmacy required.

Responsabilidades

• Assure appropriate selection, dosing, administering, and dispensing of medication orders.
• Review and assess medication orders to identify and resolve drug-related problems and recommend formulary alternatives.
• Compound and dispense medications for accurate delivery to patients.
• Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
• Communicate with physicians and clinicians to facilitate care.
• Oversee technicians and may serve as a preceptor for pharmacy students; may float to cover needs.
• Provide patient counseling efficiently and effectively when required.
