Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an Accredited Pharmacy School Program.
Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the United States.
0–1 year of experience as a registered Pharmacist.
Current certification in BLS (Basic Life Support).
Valid state driver’s license from any of the 50 United States or Puerto Rico.

Responsibilities

Screen patient charts to ensure medication orders are aligned with chart notes, labs, vitals, and allergies.
Process new medication orders and fill prescription orders as needed.
Check filled prescriptions for accuracy and educate patients on therapy.
Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team and providers to ensure timely and accurate pharmaceutical services.
Respond to provider questions about drug therapy to ensure proper medication, dose, and form.
Recognize emergencies and initiate resuscitation measures as appropriate.
Perform controlled substance audits as directed.
IV admixtures and inpatient distribution as required by patient care needs.
